Employment Law and Counseling
SWB provides advice and counseling to employers in all areas of employment law including compliance with federal, Pennsylvania and New Jersey anti-discrimination laws, wage and hour laws, leave laws, occupational safety and health laws, and laws requiring employee accommodations.
An important part of our practice is assisting and counseling employers with day-to-day issues which arise in the workplace. Our goal is to work hand in hand with our clients to address issues that arise before they become problematic.
We regularly represent employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in employment litigation involving claims of discrimination and harassment, wrongful discharge, breach of employment agreements, wage and hour claims, OSHA claims, and prevailing wage claims.
Our attorneys also conduct HR training and seminars for employers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey on various employment practices such as discrimination and harassment in the workplace or other relevant employment laws such as HIPAA, or federal, Pennsylvania and New Jersey wage and hour laws. SWB can also assist employers in drafting employee handbooks and employment policies.
